WELCOME!
To be honest, I am pretty bored of people morosely discussing the current ‘grave state of the music industry’ - Yes, it is a time of general confusion and the major record companies are in a spot of bother, surely resulting an open-ended and exciting industry? Great music emerges from chaos, does it not?
And due to this; our musical soundscape is changing drastically, and for the better! Inevitably the charts will always be full of generic boring music, and if we are honest we wouldn’t want our beloved, un-characterisable, leftfield (ugh that’s a horrible word) music in the charts, as has happened in the past with Punk, Indie, Drum n Bass, and more recently Dubsep - as diluted replications of a style, which unfortunately always emerge in the wake of great music, are no longer true to the original idea’s and the music would, simply, no longer be ours!
Anyway, enough rambling, I’ll get to the point - I have started this blog to simply write about any exciting contemporary music I’m currently listening to and enjoying, that’s it! We’ll post anything whether it be Trip Hop, Hip Hop, Punk or Funk...
